Now I want to talk about Kombucha. That is obviously entirely unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I know you won't obey.

Allow me to start by stating that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with water every morning to reduce inflammation or something like this.

He claims it's magical. I claim it is nasty.

While I understand this will seem dramatic (because it is)I actually dry heave at the sight and smell of the morning ritual to a daily basis. He loves that around me.

Based on this reaction, one would believe that I would stay far away from Kombucha, correct? I mean, after all, it certainly comes with a vinegary tang.

But for any reason, I keep trying it. I Need to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

I am literally a marketer's dream cause every single time I see somebody I know loving a sip, or realising their favourite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I'm all,"Maybe you will really taste acceptable!" .

Just imagine me with air quotes around the word enjoying because I believe it is tough to think this stuff is actually enjoyable in any sense of the term.

And spoiler alert. Not one of them taste good. None.

Even the ones that people claim are light really are a huge contraceptive for me personally. They taste just like freaking sweet vinegar.

I'm basically convinced that anyone who drinks this fermented tea stuff includes zero taste buds, or severely funky ones.

While I'm not asserting these banana oatmeal biscuits will be the least healthful (cause hello sugar and butter), I am claiming that they are delicious.

They have the perfect amount of banana taste and a lovely chewy feel as a result of the oats. The chocolate chips are merely an added bonus.

Everybody who attempted these banana oatmeal cookies thought they tasted a lot like banana bread, but obviously with an entirely different texture. We dug it around here.

And in my opinion, they're great a fantastic alternative to conventional banana bread.

All these Banana Oatmeal Cookies possess a soft, buttery feel. If you're searching for a traditional oatmeal cookie, then this isn't the cookie cutter you're searching for. If you are not fond of oatmeal biscuits my favorite chocolate chip biscuits, you could just become your new fave.

I like these cookies a little on the undercooked side, so I inhale them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you want them to be cooked through, I would take for 10-11 minutes.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature



1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon



1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

From the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl with an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter till light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and blend in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add the skillet and vanilla.



Gradually add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and blend until incorporated.

Use a moderate cookie scoop (about 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and lightly press on the tops of each cookie with the base of a drinking glass. Considering these cookies don't spread considerably, this can help give them a conventional cookie form.
